Visits to MD Anderson over the Christmas Holidays showed that my eye surgery healed nicely and I can now voluntarily close my left eye. My Speech Therapist was impressed with my voice and installed a new voice prosthesis that is supposed to cut down on liquids leaking when I swallow.

The small cancer tumor in my left jaw has grown. The experimental chemo drug I was taking the last two months did not work to reduce its size.

MD Anderson did a Radio Frequency burn of my Left #9 cranial nerve that was supposed to lower the pain. It did in that nerve but other nerves are hurting. I am beginning a new chemo regimen tomorrow 12-31 here in the RG Valley. It will be the toxic kind of drug combination so goodbye hair. OH well , we are hoping and praying that it might keep me alive for another 10 months like the chemo I had last December.
