I spoke with Bob Browning last evening (Thursday, 6 October) and his news was not what we really wanted to hear. Lila will be released from MD Anderson Cancer Center this morning and was told to go home because there was no more they could do for her.  Unfortunately the new experimental chemo was no help.  Bob spent the day yesterday getting the motor home ready to move.  He said you don't realize how much needs to be done to travel with it after living in it for 9+ months.  As soon as she is released from the hospital they are leaving for Lila's home in Missouri.  Hospice has been contacted and they will be there with a hospital bed for Lila upon her arrival.  Bob says it will be at least two days before they arrive home.  This all depends on how Lila takes the trip.  One of Lila's sisters is in Houston and will follow the motor home in the car.  Debbie, Lila's daughter, arrived last night and she will ride with Bob and Lila in the motor home during the trip .

I spoke with Lila this morning and she sounded stronger then a few days ago.  She said they were giving her blood and platelets this morning before they released her and these should help her keep up some strength during the trip.  Bob hopes to be home by tomorrow night.

If you would like to send Lila a card her address will be:  Lila Riser, 316 Colony, Clinton MO 64735.  Please keep both Lila and Bob in your prayers especially during this trying time.
