Bob Heiser ================================ To our fellow TRDTA members, I think all of you know David & Teri
Meyer, and many of you have already heard. However, David
checked into the Methodist Hospital yesterday morning and had 6,
sextuple Bypass surgery. As of last night, David was doing
well. He was awake, although in pain, and his heart was beating
on its own. He is expected to be in pain for a couple of days,
and then he will be sore. They took veins form one arm and both
legs to do the bypass, and he will not be allowed to cue for a
little while (although he wants to). The surgery was not as a result of a
heart attack. He had gone to the doctor for some pain that
occurred when he exerted himself. The doctor had him do a
stress test and found a blockage. David was scheduled for
angioplasty, but they found the other blockages while preparing
for the procedure. The doctor decided that bypass was a better
alternative because there were so many. They sent him home for
a couple of days to let some medications, administered for the
angioplasty, get out of his system. Very Respectfully, Ron & Pat Plouch |
