A part of my memo of this morning was incorrect.  I said that they had removed the tube through Lila's nose into her stomach.  We found out this morning, Lila had removed the tube and the nurses did not know anything about it.
 
We hear Lila has a very bad Wednesday night.  She removed the tube and damaged a port in her left arm so badly they had to remove it this morning.  The hospital had to put someone in Lila's room last night to keep her from doing further damage to herself.
 
Today has not been any better.  The hospital reinstalled the stomach tube this morning, she has tried all day to pull it out.  She wants to eat, drink and leave the hospital.  She can not eat or drink until her intestines wake up and that may be several more days.  She has not slept for perhaps the last 36 or more hours.  The incision is leaking a study drip of red water.  They may have to put a drain into her stomach tomorrow.
 
I was at the hospital with Lila from 11:30 this morning until 5:30 this afternoon.  I could not take my eye off of Lila for a second.    Debbie is at the hospital with Lila tonight.  She is going to have a very long night unless they can give Lila something to make her sleep.
 
We don't have any idea what is causing Lila's problems.   The Lila we have seen the last two days is not the Lila we know and love.   We think that she may be having a reaction to some of the medications they are giving her, we just don't know what.
