AL storm Just
a note to say thank you for all the prayers and messages.
We were hit Wednesday morning, April 27, with 200 mile an
hour straight line winds. The
tornado that did so much damage in AL hit that night and we
did not get hit again. We lost 19 trees, sustained roof
damage to the house, have a "sky light" in my art room and
lost the corner of that room, had 4 trees hit the garage
sustaining roof damage and 2 roof trusses, the back end of
our Honda was sliced off like a piece of bread. We
got electricity back on Friday and the phone lines we got
back yesterday. What
a real scare! We could not even get our front door because
there was a BIG tree right there on the front door. The
church sent 30 men to help us remove the trees. They worked
over 8 hours and got most of the debree to the street. Our
neighbor brought his landscaping equipment down and took out
the root balls. We can put a small car in one of the
holes. The insurance adjusters have been here so now we
wait to see what all they will cover. Again thanks for your
concern and prayers. We thank the Lord for His protection.
We were not hurt and our damage is minimal. So many are in
real trouble and lost everything. The sorties are hart
breaking but there are also many hart warming stories!! We
live in a wonderful country. Love
and thanks, Barbara
