=======================================

This has been another interesting week in our lives.

I have mentioned in previous memos about Lila having chest pains.  The hospital had ran several tests, including a stress test and assured her that all was well.  Except, she was still having chest pains and they were getting worse.

She had an appointment with her heart doctor this Tuesday.  After telling him of the continuing chest pains, he decided to take a closer look from inside the heart.  On Thursday morning we were at the hospital at 6:30, they checked her into the cath-lab and they took a look.  They found the reason for the pain, she had an artery in her heart that was 90% to 95% blocked.  That got their attention!!!

M. D. Anderson was not set up to put in a stint, so they transferred her by ambulance to Memorial Herman Hospital.  About 3:00 yesterday afternoon, they put in the stint.  Everything went well and they released her about 3:00 this afternoon.  She is tired and sore but will recover in a few days.

The heart doctor was in to see her early this afternoon.  He told her how lucky she was that we got this heart problem fixed when we did, she could have had a massive heart attack at any time.  We have to believe the the good Lord is really watching out for Lila.  Keep up the prayers for her.

We are not sure what this heart thing is going to do to her chemo treatments.  She was to have the third or three chemo treatments this morning.  That was cancelled and it will be the first of next week before we know if they will give her this third treatment or will start something else, still trying to get her ready for the stem cell transplant.

Lila is going to have a round of heart rehab treatments for the next few weeks, they want her to have 36 treatments.  With all her regular hospital visits, this is going to be a little hard to get worked out.  But, some how, it will work out.

Warm, windy and dry here in Houston.  So far, all the storms and rain has went north and east of us.  Last week I paid $100 to have the motor home washed in the morning and I washed the car that same afternoon.  If anything would have caused rain, that should have done it.  That night we received a few "sprinkles", just enough to make spots on the hood of the car.

I guess that we can say all is well that ends well.  This heart thing ended well, no heart damage and it should make Lila stronger for the rest of her chemo treatments.
