So glad to hear Joe is doing better.  Our prayers have been answered, praise the Lord.

Pat had her hip replaced Wednesday and was supposed to go to in patient therapy today, but now has bronchitis, so is being delayed till she is better.  She was dejected if not depressed when I talked to her about 7 this morning.  Praying for the best outcome.

Hi Everybody, 

 

Just wanted to let you know that we finally got some good news, Monday, Joe’s surgeon

got back from vacation and he called me Monday.  He said what happened, and I told him, and he

said Joe can put all his weight on that leg now to walk, it’s been 8 weeks and the Xrays look good.

So now they will be getting him up to walk again, because he hasn’t walked for 2 weeks, because

he couldn’t put any weight on that leg, so now he has to get his legs strengthened up again.

Tues. afternoon, the Social Worker, came in and said, they will be working with him in rehab, until next

Thurs. Sept. 3^rd.  So he will be coming home, the 2^nd time, next Thurs. afternoon, after lunch.

That makes me feel a lot better, because this time when he comes home, he will be able to walk a lot

better, because his leg is all healed. Before he could only put 50% weight on that leg, but now he can

use it full strength. It will not be so hard for me to get him up out of the chair, etc.

He is really looking forward to coming home, kind of tired of being in the hospital. Friday, Aug. 28^th.,

we will have been in the hospital 2 months, minus one week. He will have some Home therapy, but

it shouldn’t have to last very long, because this time his leg is all healed.

So hopefully this time, will be the end of the hospital for a long time. He has to get his legs strengthened

up again. Hopefully, we can get back to dancing again.
