How is everything in Texas?  We are having beautiful weather here, hard to believe it is 2 weeks into Nov. already.

Wayne, would you please put this update on the Alamo Paradise Website for me. Thank you so much for doing this for me.

Update on Joe. 

 

Joe is doing really well, had 3 dialysis treatments last week.

His appointment is at 8:30 every  Monday, Wednesday & Friday.  He gets done

between 12:00 & 12:30, the actual dialysis treatment is 3 hrs. He is doing very

well handling the treatments, he still is a little woosie for a little while afterwards.

We eat afterwards, then he usually sleeps for a couple hours.  Then he feels really

good.  We have been dancing every Tues. & Thurs. nights, like we were always

doing.  It doesn’t bother him at all, in fact he has more energy now than he did

for the last few months.

 

We have an appointment with his heart Doctor, on Tues. Nov. 29th.  They will check

his heart to see if it is working better.  It was only working 20 – 25%, and they would

like to get it up to 40%.  We are planning on going to Texas, but will not know when

until after his heart appointment.  So if his heart is doing okay, then we will be

heading for Texas.

 

We would like to Thank  everyone  for all your prayers, phone calls, and cards. It is

such a wonderful feeling to have so many wonderful friends.  We really appreciate

all of you. 

 

The weather has been so beautiful here, in the 60’s & 70’s, which is way above

normal  for Nov.  I have to mow up leaves every few  days. We haven’t had a hard

freeze  yet, so the leaves are really slow falling off. 

 

I have to tell you some exciting news, I know some of you know Joe’s youngest

son is a football coach at Iowa City Regina High School. His football team has been

the Iowa State Football Champions for 6 years in a row.  They have broke a record

already by winning 6 yrs. in a row  that will be hard to beat. Yesterday, Sat. Nov. 12th

was the Semi Finals, at the Unidome in Cedar Falls, IA. We went to the game, and

they won the football game, 42 to 6, so they will be playing the State Championship

game at 11:00, this Friday, Nov. 18th.  So we are hoping they will win, which will

make 7 years in a row.

 

Well, thanks again for all your prayers. I will update you again next  weekend. Hope

you all have a great week.
