A Big Hello to all !! Summer is definitely over and we are having a fantastic
fall here in north Wisconsin. We have had several frosts
already and we are in the process of trying to winterize
everything before we head south to Pharr, Texas. We plan
to leave shortly after Thanksgiving. Our first class and 2
dances will be on December 8th.
It has been great fun to see many of you at dances we
have attended around the country. We are really excited
to renew teaching and dancing with you this winter. We
have been working hard preparing dances to teach and
workshops to help the figures make sense.
We have previously alluded to a class that we are very
enthusiastic about. It will be billed as an Improve
your Dance class. As we have prepared for
this class it has started to shape up in a form we are
calling The Anatomy of Dance.
This class is designed for all phases. We will not be
teaching dances here. We will be giving you information
to improve the figures you know to make your dancing
smoother, easier, more comfortable and better looking no
matter what phase you dance.
The following is a list of some of the topics we will
be exploring each week.....(not necessarily in this order)
The Eyes Have It
It's All In Your Head
Time To Shape Up
Where The Toes Goes
Just Hangin' Around
The Ups and Downs Of Dance
Off To The "Chase"
What Nice Arms You Have
Look At Those Hips
How 'Bout Those Knees
Getting To The Core Of It
Anything Semi
Where's The Umph
Obviously some of those seem kind of obscure at the
moment but we hope it piques your interest enough to give
it a try. It will definitely be fun.
We have all looked at dancers and wonder how they are
so smooth and make the harder figures look so easy and
effortless. We wish we could dance like they do. This
class will provide you with some building blocks to make
your dancing what you have been wishing for....we can't
wait to see you there.........
