Please keep Wayne in your prayers. I received the following from
Pat Chapman this AM. ====================================================== I had a Dr. apt this morning. When I got home ...about eleven ... I could not find Wayne....this happens often...we joke about me trying to find him all the time. Every few minutes I would check somewhere else for him .... and left him several messages. Finally....maybe after thirty minutes I thought I better keep checking. I thought maybe in the barn....but doors were closed. Called his brother to see if he was with them as was going to the barn. Happened to look to the side...,and Wayne was laying on the ground. He could move enough to know he was alive....but he could not move or talk. Now.....middle of the night....he is moving......left side movement came back slowly this afternoon. And he can now move the other leg....and every time they check the left hand he has more pressure . Has progressed from not moving hardly at all....to turning over on sides and pulling himself up into a better position in the bed. Still only single words. Only words....and that's not easy for him. But he understands everything and could tell he was aware when I found him. Thank the Lord for good ambulance drivers. Please pray for him. In baby steps....he is improving. The Dr. said he would probably be in ICU three days....the prayer is no blood clots! He is getting blood thinner intravenously .... However ever you spell that..... His family has been in and out today. Becky and Tammy are coming Tuesday.. He was laying beside a flower bed...he had been planting flowers. I drove right past him when I drove up....but I drove into the garage....so did not see him. He nodded no...that he did not see me when I drove up....and he was facing a bush...would not have seen me...and the car is very quiet....garage door makes a noise...but he did not have his hearing aids on. Since did not know when it happened, doctors did not give him the preferred treatment....it is to be given within three hours. Was so hot today...but he was in a shaded spot and was a gentle breeze all the time when we waited for the ambulance....thankful for that. I slept some early night....now all awake. How does the song go...,thank you for being our friend..... Pat Chapman ====================================================== --
