-------- Original Message --------    We arrived back in the valley last night (Monday) and while catching up on the local paper we unfortunately ran upon a death notice of Jim Haney of Weslaco.  Jim and Marie have been dancing here in the valley several years.  Jim's love was music of any form and dancing.  They not only Round Danced but could be found at many of the Ball Room Dance floors around the valley.  Jim and Marie are natives of Weslaco and Jim taught music at Weslaco High School from which he retired.They were Phase 3 dancers and wonderful people to be around.  In 2009 Jim suffered a mild stroke and spent this past winter working on getting himself back into condition to dance again this coming season.  Jim passed away on Friday the 20th of May after falling ill on the evening of the 17th.  He was surrounded by his loving wife, Marie, and family when he passed.
