For those of you who know Jack and Bette King, Jack passed
away early this morning in the hospital in Harlingen. They were Square and Round
Dancers here in the Rio Grande Valley for about 15 years. Keep them in your
prayers.
Thanks
Phil

I got this from Loretta this morning.
I know you all will keep Bette and her family in your
prayers.

Yesterday noon Jack suffered cardiac arrest. With the efficient
and knowledgeable response of the Retama staff he was
resuscitated. He was taken to Valley Baptist emergency where the
doctor and staff also helped him survive. He was in ICU. THe family had to
leave at 11:00 PM. At about 3:45 he had a seizure and soon passed
away. He felt really good yesterday AM. He was dressed in a new outfit and preparing to go home---all health care had been arranged. A medical team was right there in his room when he collapsed and immediately started treatment. Bette and son, David, daughter, Karen were very impressed and gratified with the effort that was put into saving him at Retama. Too soon to have any definite arrangements. Will write later Warm regards, Loretta ===================================== |
