I’ve been to his grave site at Fairmont Cemetery. The tombstone has the Medal of Honor represented at about a 10 inch diameter star as I remember. His death is a very impressive story. We lost a very high percentage of the men who served in the Army Air Corps. It was a terrible waste of life but maybe that was the only way to win back then. I also finally made it to Buddy’s grave. I guess I had forgotten that his family is all buried together near Avenue N. We must of been really close to a direct flyover being just north of Avenue N. I also visited a pilot that died in 1982.
