Morning Don,

Thanks for the message and material.  I have checked with the EAA headquarters and find that we will be able to sign up for the Ray Aviation Scholarship program each year.  In our discussion at the last chapter meeting it appears we first may need to work on increasing the number of Young Eagles in our group and then sign up for participation in the scholarship program.  Right now we have no Young Eagles to nominate.  I would really like to see an increased effort in attracting additional Young Eagles during this year.  Let me know everyone's thoughts on this issue and we will plan to more forward with programs of interest.

The Ray Aviation Scholarship program must be signed up for by any Chapter that wishes to participate in 2019, by the February 11, 2019 deadline.  That is the last day the Chapter application can even be submitted for the year.  That is before our next EAA Chapter 493 February meeting.  To do that we have to have a Chapter Ray Scholarship Coordinator appointed.
