EAA Chapter 493 was approved today for the Ford Tri-Motor Tour May 18 to 21.  Arrival will be May 15, weather permitting.
We will be operating out of Ranger Aviation's WWII Heritage Hangar, located just north of Ranger Aviation's main office. They will remove all other aircraft from that hangar for the week that the Ford is here. The hangar is offered at a discount and EAA National has agreed to pay the fee.
EAA Air Tours main focus right now is that we get the word out. Posters of various sizes are being drawn up with our information on them. They will ship very soon and be available at our April meeting.  I will inform the chapter by this reflector of when the posters arrive for anyone who wants to promote the EAA Air Tours. If we do real well with this airplane I think we might be considered for a B-17 stop.
This is not the same airplane as last time. This time the 5-AT-B Ford, NC9645, that EAA leases from Liberty Aviation Museum is coming to San Angelo. First flight was December 1, 1928.  It was sold to Transcontinental Air Transport in January of 1929.
