FAA Award Ceremony EAA 493

The October 18th meeting of EAA Chapter 493 will be held as usual at Joe's Italian Restaurant. Dan Vengen, the FAAst safety manager for the Lubbock FSDO, will present a safety program which can apply toward your biennial review and the Wings Program.
Dan will return for our November 15th meeting to present two awards.  Andy Bush will receive the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award for fifty years in avaition maintenance. The award is named after Charles Taylor, the man who built the engine for the Wright Flyer.
Charles McCleary, our member from Ozona, will receive the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for fifty years of safe flying.
The two awards will be presented at St.Paul Presbyterian Church Gym, 11 N. Park St., located one block north of Beauregard and Park intersection. The gym is the rectangular building located on the west side of the church.  Enter through the double doors that face north.  We will have some light refreshments and visiting at 6PM with the meeting and program at 7PM.
