Ever wonder why pictures / video taken with modern cameras distorts a moving propeller. Here’s a moving illustration showing why. http://i.imgur.com/4tjM8lr.gif As opposed to a film camera, which captures the entire image at the same time, electronic cameras scan the image from top to bottom, or vice-versa. Since the prop is moving, it appears in different positions as the scan progresses. jc |
