EAA493 Mailing List: Really Big EAA 493 Meeting tomorrow

The usual monthly meeting will be held Tuesday November 18 at Joe's Italian Restaurant.  Arrive by 6PM if you want to eat with our group.  Meeting will start at 7PM. 

We may have a few visitors from recent publicity in the newspaper.  Be sure to shake hands with everyone at the meeting and make them feel welcome.

1. We will need to decide if we want to meet on December 16th at Joe's Italian Restaurant for our Christmas Party or go to Zentner's Steak House whenever it is available.

2. Officer positions needing replacements will be filled in the old fashion back room "smoker" style of politics.  If you are not ready to step up and fill a position be prepared to explain your conscientious objector position.  We need strong candidates who will prevail in the poles against apathy and loitering.  All current members not already in officer positions are available for draft if volunteers are not forthcoming, so be sure to attend so you can avoid opening another letter from your local draft board.  Those officers not wanting to be reelected should reply to this email, giving the position you are vacating.  Larry Wedel has already reported to me that he is retiring from newsletter editor because of health conditions.

3.  Bring your checkbook or cash for next year's dues ($20/membership or $25 for family) and to purchase calendars.

4. Young Eagles rescheduled to next Saturday, November 22nd at Skyline. Safety briefing at 9AM.

5. Discuss Ford Tri-Motor Tour and EAA B-17 Tour for next year.  Bring your pictures of the Tri-Motor and we will show them on the TV or project them.

6. Refreshments provided by President Don's day old bakery and chocolate covered health food emporium.
