EAA493 Mailing List: Ford Tri-Motor Tour

We need to raise $4,000 in order to bring the Ford Tri-Motor to San Angelo on November 13 to 16.  Skyline has agreed to furnish the hangar, a reduced fuel price and the staging area for giving rides.  That amounts to a donation of $700 toward the visit and meets vital criteria for a successful tour stop.  The remaining $3,300 needs to be raised before we can be a viable tour stop for the 1929 Ford.

Jim Bass Ford was approached by me and it is certainly late in the donation game to be approaching businesses for donations.  They have agreed to sponsor the Mustang Rally which just finished and the Model T Ford meet in San Angelo next month.  Those events were planned months and years ago and there is no last minute cash for airplane tours, unless you personally know the Bass family and can go to bat for us.

If anyone has a suggestion or a lot of cash I am ready to sign us up today for the tour.  They have not given me a dead line, but it must be getting close.  We could all pitch in or raise $100 each.  We could have a bake sale, car wash, and kidney donation.  If you know someone who might donate to a tour stop this year or next call them now.  If we can raise most of the money we can raise the rest in $75 ride fares.

We can make this happen if we work together.
