Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that Joe has had some complications today. He had a fever in the night and some infection somewhere. Then this morning his blood pressure has been going up and down, so they had to take him down to ICU to give him a medication to get it under control. He has to be in ICU to take this medication because he has to be watched all the time while he is taking it. So they had to put a picc line or port in to give him this medication, they also put a port in his artery on his other hand, so they can read exactly what is going one. But they had problems getting the picc line in his arm, there was a blockage somewhere, so they had to put it in his neck and go down to his heart. Got the medication going and about an hour and ½ later you could see that his blood pressure was starting to come up a little, so that medication was working. They had the dialysis Dr. in to see about getting him on dialysis tonight. So they said they will get him ready to hook up to dialysis, so that will help take some of the toxins out of his body, and also help the infection. He hasn’t had dialysis for 3 nights. So things are looking a little better. It was touch and go for a while. Hopefully he can get some sleep tonight. Well, that is all for now. We are just praying that tomorrow is a better day.
