Looks like I'm up next for surgery.   Done with all the radiation and chemo I could have in that series and  had tests to see where I am;  The mass in my esophagus is gone, the disease in my abdomen is shrinking, they have found a goiter in my thyroid that will need (so far undecided) attention  The opening in my esophagus is only the size of a pea and I've been unable to eat enough to  achieve the level of nourishment I need to continue more chemo.  I have to have the stomach feeding tube put back in.  I need approval for surgery from my heart doctor, whom I will see next week, then surgery will be scheduled to put the peg back in.  The peg will have to be inserted through incision in my stomach, as too high risk to attempt going through the esophagus.  After two weeks recovery I'll begin more chemo.

I'm so grateful for all your prayers helping me get this far.  Without over 30# I think I look like a broomstick with a mop on top.  This last week I had more good days than bad,  WOO HOO and Judy tells me at least I don't have fat knees any more.  I can taste food again, which is  pure joy for however long it lasts.

Glad to hear those of you who have been under the weather/in hospital  are doing better.

All our rain here (and John & Judy working their heads off) finds our park just beautiful.  Vic's trailer is gone.  Few sections of trees have been lost in storms, but nothing like the north of Texas has had to endure.

Enough for now!!  Our love to you all.  Joyce & Maggie (who gets to walk with Rambo every day).
