    requested for the raffle at the St. Baldrick’s Head Shaving Event.
    The event date is February 15, 2020 at 10:00 am. Contributions can
    be given to Bob Heiser (Event Organizer) or George Wallner &
    Roseanne Schoemehl (Raffle Organizers) or Georgeine Woolcock at
    dances. Some ideas that have been done in the past are:

• Kids Basket – go to $ store and buy kids stuff and basket

• Movie Basket – DVD and popcorn & candy

• Ladies Basket -

• Mens Basket – Harbor Freight

History: Round Dancers organized the first St. Baldrick’s Head shaving Event in the the Valley in 2009 at Texas Trails RV Park. The event moved to the Pharr Civic Center in 2011 and to Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance (Doctors Hospital facility) in 2016. The first 7 years the event was staffed by entirely by round dancers and friends. Since 2016 Doctors Hospital has been a large part of the St. Baldrick’s event, round dancers and seniors are still involved. In 11 years over $300,000.00 has been raised for research into cures and better treatments for childhood cancer. Last year we shaved 51 heads.
