Bob and Kay:

Well, it is all over and the patient lived!!!

On Wednesday, January 14th, I had 3 stents inserted into my arteries and all is well.  They kept me overnight at Vanderbilt Hospital and Leona brought me home on Thursday morning.  The doctor said to take it easy for 4-5 days prior to resuming my usual activities, that is, working out at the YMCA, refereeing soccer when the season begins at the end of February and most importantly, DANCING!!  During my 4-5 days of “recovery” I will try to get my loving wife to wait on me hand and foot!  Of course, when I had my cardiac cath last month and I said that she just LAUGHED….I get no respect!!  So, I can imagine what she will say this time……of course, one can always hope!!

All kidding aside, I am feeling fine, but I was not feeling bad before….I just had the blockage.  They do want me to undergo cardiac rehab to do exercises.  Even though I was exercising 3 times a week at the Y prior to the procedure, I will attend the sessions at least for 6 weeks.

I would like to thank you all for the prayers and the good wishes because I really appreciated it.  If you would let Bob Heiser know about this, maybe he can let all of our friends in the Valley know my status and that I thank them very much for their prayers and concerns as well.

Take care,

Bill and Leona
