We talked to Keith and then Vance (their son) this morning and we have very good reports to

pass on to you. Billie is doing great and everyone is happy with her progress. They had

her up in a chair for about 4 hours yesterday and they were hoping to move her into a regular room later today. On Saturday Keith said that her heart was in arrhythmia (uneven heart beat) and they were giving her meds through IV hoping to correct this. Today they said it worked and she has been on the same meds by mouth and is stable. Keith, Vance, his wife Bobbie and Gary were to meet with the social workers and talk about where to send her for re-rehab. Vance said he would call us and let us know what they decide when the decision is made. They had the option of Kansas City (by Gary's), Colorado Springs (by Vance and Bobbie's), Liberal (about 30 miles from the farm) and Wichita KS as of this morning. Keith says she can feed herself with little difficulty and he sounded more rested then we have heard him since this happened. We haven't heard anything tonight from either Keith or Vance so we will most likely give them a call tomorrow some time.

 

We are in Waco at ICBDA. Had a 5 1/2 hour Board Meeting this afternoon and my butt can feel it. There are some people on that board that just like to hear themselves talk!! Tonight they had a dance and we went over and visited but didn't dance. I'm saving myself for the rest of the week. Tomorrow there are two clinics either on Waltz or Quickstep. I'm not sure which one we, or should I say "I", will attend. I may float between a couple of the halls to see what is being done.

 

Better run for now. Take care of yourselves and we will be giving you a call after this week - most likely on Monday while we are driving home. No word as of yet when they will schedule my surgery. I'm just plugging along!!
