I received my "Freedom" around 4PM this afternoon.   I am home and it really feels good to back into the "Normal" world.  I must say that the care I have received at the hospital here in the valley (McAllen, TX) could not have been any better.  Sometimes it was like running into family.  Some of the care givers I had in this stay with were also involved in my last stay and we both were surprised to see each other again.

Ski has kept me up (as much as possible) with all your messages sending thoughts and prayers during my stay.  I hope to sit down and read (and possibly answer) some of them starting tomorrow.  It has only been the last couple of days that I have been able to read and try to concentrate on any one subject.  Unfortunately, much of the medication that they were pouring into me didn't let me be myself.  Yesterday they gave me the go ahead to walk the halls of  the 4th floor without an escort so I was trying to make at least one round of the ward every hour.  I did the same today until I was finally released and tonight I can feel the muscles in my hips and lower back.  I never thought I would get this out of shape!!  My aim now is to get my strength back so I can return to my normal life.  They keep telling me to take it slow - I'll do my best!

Before signing off for tonight, I want to send my love out to all of you for your prayers, thoughts and mental support.  I wish I could find the words to say how much this special "Round Dance Family" and "Friends" and real "Family" we belong to, means to both Ski and I.  Thank you also for your words of support to Ski.  He has really been my "Rock" through this and only when you are faced with something as serious as we have been through do you really realize how much you love a person.

Hugs, Thoughts and Prayers to all of you.

Kay
