Good Evening - - - -
I was hoping that Kay would be doing this but guess what she is still
be held captive and I get to one more message - - Maybe ? ? ?
As the saying go "All Things Must Pass" happened the other night, this
was Sunday night. She was so happy she had to call me and tell me the
good news after bragging to the nurse that it finally happened. She was
ready now to be released earlier today.
After the surgeon releasing her and the nurses changing the bandage on
the incision Kay was ready only to be told that a blood test that she when she was admitted did not come out that well. The hospital did do another one the
other day to be sure everything was OK and the results had not come in
as of yet. I guess it take the culture 2 to 3 days to get the reading. So with that in mind she was held over for another night at the Rio Grande Hilton. I really do believe that she is starting to enjoy the stay. Everyone waiting on
her "Hand & Foot". What a life.
In a way it is better that she is staying. She is walking about every hour to both ends of the hall way. She is not setting any land records but I can feel
her getting stronger with the three walks we did tonight. At times she is
holding on to me and then there are other times where she is letting go. It
really isn't hurting her to be there for it is making her stronger. We do not
need another relapse and end up back there. She still has the IV in the arm
but it has not been used while I was there.
Tonight the nurse came in and showed me how to change the bandage on the
incision. I guess this was one of those mandatory classes that I or someone
else had to take for Kay to be released. The nurses felt that there was no way Kay could do this herself. It was not all that bad and I did not pass out or get a
queasy stomach ( there is no way that will be caught on the spell checker).
Anyway, with that done and good result from the blood test, Kay should be out tomorrow. She can do the next message. I do believe that this was written in a
previous message.
Well, I better be going. Take care guys and thank you all for the Prayers, Thoughts, Kind Words and messages of encouragement. We both appreciate it very much and we cannot even begin to thank you. Have a great Night and Week - - - Ski's
