Good Evening - - - -Yesterday, Tuesday, started out as good day for Kay. She was walking and doing more sitting up in a chair. Everyone was fairly happy with her progress. The only had one problem, no it was not ME, it was all the food she was eating. For some reason she wanted to keep it in her. This did not agree with the nurses or the
doctor so - - - -Around 7 PM last night they gave Kay a Fleet Anemia. This did not set well with her system and it did cause her quite a bit of pain. Of course with the pain came the old saying "Everything will Pass" and it did. Things did ease up around 9 PM and then they kicked back in with her stomach growling until around 2 AM this morning. Of
course, the old saying did kick back in.Last night the hospital did a abdomen x-ray. It did come back OK with no blockage or trouble areas. Thank goodness for that for I sure did not need for her to be opened
back up to undo a twist or blockage.I went early this afternoon and she was quite happy. She was sitting in a chair watching TV. After I was there for about 30 minutes the nurse came in and was ready to give Kay a bath if she was ready. Me being there was not going to stop that so I left to do some errands that had to be done. Leaving the room two of the student nurses stopped me complimenting Kay on how well she was looking and doing. They were happy with her walking and her color was good. I guess she did real good with her walking earlier. Earlier in the day the surgeon came in and looked her over and he released her for discharge. Of course the other doctor would also have to give his blessing for her to be discharged also. There is a possibility that she could be released this Friday. I was talking to one of the nurses this evening and was asking on how I could keep her there a little longer. He told me I would have to talk to the doctor but a lot of being discharged had to do with insurance and how long they could keep her. I guess I am going to have to catch the doctor for I am sure Kay will not say anything to him about staying a few more days. She could say she has a lot of housework
to catch-up on to see if that gets the doctors attention.I know I must sound like a real SOB (Sweet old Bob) but I would like to see her on a solid food diet before she is released and going back to the old saying "Everything will Pass" without the pain she went through last night. You all know Kay and it is going to next to impossible for me to sit on her keeping her down. A couple of extra days sure would not hurt her and it will not hurt me either. I am doing fine for I have bought more paper plates so I do not have to do the dishes. I plan on going to Sam's tomorrow for some more necessary supplies, plastic forks,
knifes and glasses. The hospital is setting up Home Health Care that will be changing the Wound Pump and coming in and giving Kay an IV antibiotic shot the three times they are going to be there. She is going to be able to leave the hospital with the "Pick IV" in the arm so she will not have to go through any one starting another IV in her hand. They have done enough damage doing that already. The
"Pick" is where the nurse will administer the IV shot.Well, I guess I better be going. Take care and keep the faith. It does look light there is a light at
the end of the tunnel. Till later - - - Ski's
