We Round Dancers have a great "Prayer/Support Group". This
has been pr oven not only with my health but several other of our
dancers. We now have to add Bonnie Hall (the lady that dances
with the hat on) to our list. Bonnie went to California a couple
of weeks ago to help take care of her sister-in-law who has been
diagnosed with brain cancer. While there she visited her
girlfriend who was her maid-of-honor at her and Mikes wedding.
They walked down hill to town to do some shopping and on the way
back up the hill Bonnie had a hard time catching her breath. She
also had a leg swell up a little but the next day it seemed OK and
she told herself she was out of shape and needed to walk more. A
couple of days later the leg started hurting again and so she went
to the doctor. They discovered a blood clot in the leg and
immediately rushed her to the hospital where she was admitted to
ICU. The medicine they administered (heparin) required
constant care and that is why she was in ICU. While there they
did more tests and found more blood clots in her lungs. She has
now been moved to a normal room and is now being given blood
thinners (cumadin - computer can't even spell check ths
one!!!). The clots have shrunk some but not as much as the
doctors hoped they would. She will be on blood thinners for at
least 3 months. They will not release her from the hospital until
she is stable with the blood thinner. She is in good spirits and
Mike flew out to be with her yesterday (Wednesday the 3rd of
July). She has her computer so she can receive e-mails and can
work on her quilting. If anyone would like to send her a card it
can be mailed in care of her brother. Bonnie Hall, % Kirk
Feyerabend, 27 Shore Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94566. I will send up
dates - remember, no news is good news.
