Subject: the latest on Dad
Dad just got the results of his CT scan and it indicated he is cancer free! We are all so grateful, relieved, and happy! He met with an audiologist at the KU Med. Center on Monday and she made a new ear mold for his hearing aid. It will be a bit tricky getting a good fit as his ear had some major repositioning after the surgery but we are looking forward to him being able to hear...at least better than the past 6 months! Dad is very anxious to get back down to Texas so we are planning on taking the folks back within the next month or so. Thank you for all the prayers. Dad did a remarkable job during the surgery and afterward. He kept his positive attitude and determination throughout the entire ordeal. The surgical scares and skin graft area are barely noticeable however, the drooping on the left side of his face remains a bit of a bother. All in all, Dad is doing great! Love, Pam Carroll |
