Not a good week.

Lila was at the hospital most of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, doing tests, getting ready for the stem cell transplant.

Wednesday evening, Lila started running a fever again.  When it went over 100 degrees, we went to the hospital ER.  Got there about 8:00 PM, I stayed until about 1:00 AM when I knew for sure they were going to keep her.  She said they moved her into a room about 3:00 AM Thursday.  She is still in the hospital, had hoped she would get out today, but not to be.  Something is not agreeing with her.  We think it may be one of the antibiotics, but we don't know which one.  We are now hoping she will get out tomorrow, but not for sure.  I talked to her about 9:00 tonight, still having  stomach problems.

The next piece of not so good news.  They did a bone marrow test and bone bioscopy test on Wednesday.  The doctor said that the bone marrow looked good, but they found some "blast" cells in the bone.  So, she is going to have another, 3 week round of chemo. Hopefully, this will start next week.  After this round of chemo, it will be another 3 weeks before they will accept her into the stem cell program.  She may have to go through another complete round of physicals.  It appears that she will not be able to start the stem cell process, for at least 6 or 8 weeks.  This will put us into early to mid November before we can get out of Houston.
