Lila had a bad day Wednesday and Wednesday night.  She was to go to the hospital Wednesday for a blood test and spinal tap.  After her blood test on Monday, we knew her blood levels was getting so low she would need blood later in the week.    On Tuesday and Tuesday night she was having chest pains.  We assumed this was because she was low on blood and maybe dehydrated.  We had a problem getting her to the hospital Wednesday morning because of the chest pains.

I took her to the hospital Wednesday morning, put her in a wheel chair and pushed her to the blood lab.  They drew blood and we were waiting for the results.  She tried to walk to the bathroom and almost passed out before she got back to the lobby.  She was feeling so bad that they put her in a room with a bed and got a IV running into her Picc line.

I left her and came to the RV while they gave her some liquids and doing the spinal tap.   She called about 3:00 and said they were giving her 2 units of  blood.  She said it would be at least 7:00 before she would be able to come home.  She called at 7:00 and said she had a rash from the blood transfusion and would be a while longer.

About 10:00 PM she called and said she was still having chest pains and they were going to keep her for a while.  I went to the hospital.  By the time I got to the hospital, she called and said she was in the ER.

I stayed until 1:30 this morning.  She was having chest pains every 20 or 30 minutes.  Her blood pressure was all over the map an her heart rate was running 80 to 100 bpm.  Yesterday, her blood pressure was as low a 82/50 and as high as 197/95.  They checked her into a room for the night.

I called her about 8:30 this morning.  She had talked to one heart doctor.  They told her that they could not find anything wrong, her heart was strong and whatever she is having must be related to the chemo treatments.   She is going to have to live it.  However, they want her checked by another heart doctor that will make rounds sometime this afternoon.  In other words, they don't have any idea what is causing the heart problems and therefore blaming it on the chemo.  Maybe????

More later.   Bob
