ValleyRD Mailing List: Lila update--1/19/2011

Day 2 or round 2.  All is still going well.  Lila has not had any bad reaction to any of the chemo they have given her.  They gave her another unit of blood today.  They also did another spinal tap.  We had thought that they may be done with that, but guess not.  Lila said that it did not hurt. 
 

Tomorrow morning, 9:00 I must be at the hospital.  Have to learn how to change the dressing on the Picc line that is in her arm.  I have went to two classes on the subject, now I have to change one to be sure that I know how to do it.
 
If all goes as planned, Lila will be released from the hospital this Friday.  We have to see what her outpatient schedule looks like and if any of the follow up stuff the next few day can be done at the Edenburg hospital, we may make a trip back to Pharr/McAllen in a few days.  Lila wants to go back to Pharr for a few days, if we can.
 
So far, so good.
