ValleyRD Mailing List: Lila Reiser update 1/16/2011

We have had a good weekend.  Lila went in for a blood test and bone marrow test last Friday.  All went well, her blood test looked good but will be a few days before we get the results of the bone marrow test.
 
Lila was feeling so well, we made a trip to San Antonio for the night.  We visited with Lila's daughter and Lila's niece and family.  We left San Antonio after lunch and came back to Houston.
 
Lila goes back into the Hospital sometime Monday for her second round of chemo.  They tell us that she will be in the hospital only 7 to 10 days this round, if all goes well.
 
Not sure how many more rounds she will have.  We were told at the beginning that perhaps she may have 8 months of treatments.  However, it appears that they are getting her ready for a Stem Cell Transplant perhaps as early as late February.   Lots of things that we don't know about this stuff.
 
I'm doing fine.  Went to the heart doctor last Wednesday.  All reports looked good.
