I talked to Jess' sister today and she gave me an update on Jess and Donna Porch. 

Some of you may have known when Jess came back to Ohio last spring, he was not feeling well.  After several tests it was discovered he had pancreatic cancer.  He has been taking chemo and radiation all summer and just completed his last course this week. He will be getting scanned this coming week to see if anything has changed.  In the meantime, 2 weeks ago Donna was brought to the hospital in Columbus with a heart attack.

 

They inserted a stent and she was sent home.  A few days later she had to be rushed back to Columbus with another heart attack.  She was given some blood thinner to prevent any clots but it caused bleeding in the brain,  She had 2 surgeries to get the bleeding stopped and in the process suffered a stroke.  She was discharged to a rehab facility in Zanesville and is now able to take a few steps and talking some.
