I did it! I had my head shaved, and it feels great but cold sometimes. After two weeks it is looking pretty good. I went bald to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer like some of those who attended. Even more important, I did it to raise money for life-saving research. Thank you who have donated for helping me raise more than $3,697 for the St. Baldrick?s Foundation, to help give hope to kids with cancer and their families. I couldn't have done it without you! As you can see on my web page at: http://stbaldricks.org/participants/shavee_info.php?ParticipantKey=2009-56020# I lack just $323 reaching my goal. Our daughter, Tammy took some really good pictures and I had
fun putting some of her pictures in two
collages. You may see them at: http://picasaweb.google.com/ewc102832/Collages?authkey=Gv1sRgCNaSt_z57pG3wwE&feat=email# One of the collages is of me and the other of Karen and Trevor
Tripp who added so much to the fun part of the event. All of Tammy's pictures can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/27757670 [at] N04/sets/72157614433424513/ Last year, the St. Baldrick?s Foundation funded childhood cancer research in a big way - over $15 million in grants! These funds went to pediatric cancer experts who are looking for cures today, as well as to young Fellows and Scholars who will be the experts of tomorrow. In these times of economic uncertainty, I'm sure of two things: First, kids are still being diagnosed with cancer and still need our help. And second, you care. Thank you for supporting my participation in St. Baldrick?s on behalf of some very special kids. Wayne Chapman ____________________________________________________________ New to Digital Photography?
