HELLO  EVERYONE;

 

I am going to try to one handed type up a letter to send to all and hope it comes across ok.

 

On April 11^th I had the brain surgery for an aneurysm on the right side. I was hoping they would put in a new memory chip, but afraid they took some brain out instead. They didn't get all the aneurysm and had to leave a bit, but said I would die before it busted. The one on the left is still there and has not grown so it will just be watched yearly.

 

On July 24^th I had a bilateral temporal biopsy where they removed about an inch of artery between my eyes and ears. That was to check to see if I had temporal arthritis . Although I have most all the symptoms, it was negative. I had another stroke and lost more eyesight, and still don't know the cause. I was supposed to go to Greeley this week for another vision field test but!!!!

 

On August 11, I went into hospital again for scope surgery rotary cuff repair on left shoulder, but when they got in there it was such a mess they had to cut me open for more extensive surgery. Which leaves a longer recovery period, and beings it has been bad for so long there is a chance I won't get full recovery. But I will keep trying. I am happy that I have lost about 30 pounds, but am back on prednisone so will for sure be gaining most of it back.

 

You can imagine what poor Don has been going thru. Especially being we are trying to sell our house here and clean it out after over 30 years of collecting treasures. Between garage sales, packing for TX, and getting the rest ready for an auction on September 6 it has been a real chore, and I haven't really had any recovery time. Don has been wonderful doing everything, but it has taken it's toll on him.  After a few days of final cleaning we hope to be on the road for TX.

 

I am very sorry to say I will not be able to do any round dance teaching at Bentsen Grove, but I am still hoping I will be able to still cue for Jerry Story on Thursday nights. A little more time will have to decide that.
