Will try again to send you all an update on Hoyit.  Don't think any of you got my last report of several days ago.  Anyway, Hoyit is feeling much better and saw the doctor today.  The doctor was pleased with his progress and removed one of the tubes from his back.  Now he's down to one drain tube and we have an appt. next Wed. and, hopefully, the other tube will come out at that time.  They also removed the very thin covering from his leg where the skin for the graft was removed.  Now, that's really bothering him.  They said he could shower as long as he used lukewarm water and didn't let it run on his head for very long.  We will be here at least another week and probably until the 20th.  Our friends from Livingston, Nancy & Joe Hollis, have offered to come down and drive the motorhome back for us if Hoyit's shoulder hasn't healed enough that he can safely drive it home.  These are friends who drove down and stayed with me at the hospital the day of the surgery and rode the shuttle out to the park to let Laci walk and feed her, then came back to the hospital again and stayed until Hoyit was moved to critical care.  Two other friends also came and sat at the hospital, along with Hoyit's sister and brother-in-law.  That made the five and a half hours not seem like 20.  The kids all came the next day and would have been there the day of surgery if I had been alone.  It is wonderful to have so many good friends.

We cannot thank all of you enough for your prayers and support through all this.  If you know of others who might be interested, please feel free to pass this along.  Please continue to hold Hoyit up in your prayers and pray for all the other people who have cancer.  It is a terrible disease.

On a brighter note, Danny and Claudette came by this afternoon and we had a nice visit with them.  They both look well.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Love and hugs,
Del (and Hoyit)
