From the Valley Round Dance Reflector Moderator

Here is some information about the Valley RD Email Reflector.  I suggest you save or print out this message.

End of Season ? I will stop sending daily email notices of Round Dance Activity about the end of March.  During the off-season April thru October my only posts to the Reflector will be about your Round Dance friends.  I intend to restart daily Round Dance activity emails in November, when I get data from the cuers.  However you are encouraged to post news of interest to Valley Round Dancers directly to the email reflector.  To send an email to all members just put the reflector address valleyrd [at] fly-web.us in the TO box of your email. Please no general humor, virus warnings, or political posts.

Here is how to:

  • Change Your email address
  • Temporarily hold delivery of reflector email
  • Unsubscribe
  • Get a copy of your password emailed to you.
  • Change your password.
  • Receive messages in a daily digest instead of individual messages

At the end of every post from the reflector is the address of your ?personal options page?

The address is just below a line that reads, ?To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit:?

Copy the address into the address line on your Internet Browser and hit enter.  You will be at your personal options page where you can do all the above.  If you need your password there is an option on your personal options page to have it sent to your email address.

If you have other dance friends that would like to be members of the reflector tell them to follow these instructions:

Subscribing to the ValleyRD List

To Subscribe to Rio Grande Valley Round Dance Email Reflector visit this Web page:

http://lists.fly-web.us/mailman/listinfo/valleyrd

Or from the email address you wish to subscribe send an email message to:

ValleyRD-subscribe [at] fly-web.us

Receiving email messages as TEXT. Daily schedule posts to ValleyRD have a table with the curer information in different colors.

If this message does not have some text in color and bold you likely have your email program set to display messages in plain text.  In Outlook Express: Click on TOOLS, Select OPTIONS, click on the READ tab and uncheck the box for the line ?Read all messages in plain text?.

Juno Users ? Juno email software is splitting daily schedule posts in 3 attachments.  This is a JUNO problem.  The address of your Personal Options Page will be in the last attachment.

If you have any problems or questions contact w7ikt [at] arrl.net

Happy Dancing,
