EAA493 Mailing List: December 17/2025 Christmas party and meeting minutes

 President Pat Nuytten called the meeting to order a 7:13 PM. The treasurer's report was read with a current balance of $1084.00. A motion to accept this amount was made, seconded and affirmed by vote.

Old business: Andy presented the available choices for chapter shirts and has sent out the chart that shows the various models from which to choose. The chart with the chapter shirt choices is attached.

New Business: Pat presented chapter officer awards and nominations for chapter MVP are currently being accepted. Also the need for redoubled chapter recruitment efforts and additional Young Eagles events were discussed.

2025 Accomplishments: We did have some accomplishments in 2025 with one very successful Young Eagles Rally and one that was a bit short on students that showed up to fly, but in total 40 students were given a flight experience. Also we had two chapter members who received the Wright Brothers Master Pilots Award from the FAA. These include chapter president Pat Nuytten and long time member Doug O'Conner. 

 Meeting was adjourned at 7:42 followed by a good time at the Christmas party which provided cash donations and gifts for the benefit of West Texas Boys Ranch..

Meeting reminder:  January meeting will be held January 20th 7:00PM in the Mathis Field conference room. Looking forward to seeing everyone there and please feel free to forward this message as needed.
