The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
Since there was no July meeting, the minutes of the June meeting were approved.
Andy Spinks reported that we have $1115.91 in our account and that report was 
approved.
Bob Reece will contact the Convention and Visitors center to get permission to 
set up a table for our EAA chapter during the air races in October. If we are 
able to do that we will need volunteers to man the table.
Bob also gave a report on Oshkosh' There were about 600,000people in 
attendance, 12,000 aircraft, and 1089 homebuilt aircraft, many of them new this 
year.
There was an aircraft built by 10 students from Galveston,an RV12, which won an 
award.
After a slide show of the award winners this year , we adjourned the meeting 
and enjoyed refreshments provided by Mary and Tony Marcum.
