Dear Friends,

The fun is starting as the excitement ramps up for the 7th Annual Armed Forces Weekend Celebration & Fly-In!  Posters are going up, programs are being printed, and we are preparing to welcome you to Curtis Field (BBD)!

We hope you can join us Friday Night on the Square starting around 5 PM until everybody goes home.  Meet & greet with the wonderful group from Camp Howze and enjoy their beautifully restored WWII era vehicles.  Then stroll over to D&J's Good Old Days and then the historic Hotel Brady to catch a glimpse of the restoration going on.  From there, it's just a block to the Heart of Texas Historical Museum where the original Curtis Field tower will be open so you can climb to the top and imagine what it was like when the BT-13's were flying around it.

Then the excitement builds as planes start flying in when the Fly-In starts at 9 AM at Curtis Field.  Remember there will be a fuel discount for the day and FREE breakfast tacos for the first 50 pilots to arrive!  Rides will be available in the BT-15, the British Reliant, and a 1927 Travelair bi-plane.  Miss Connie, the P-39 fighter and one of only 2 flying in the US, plans to be here as well as the favorite P-51 Mustang Pecos Bill.  The kids will have plenty to enjoy with the Airplane Train, Face Painting, and the display of amazing scale model radio-controlled airplanes brought to us with the help of the Heart of Texas Historical Museum.  Look, learn, and enjoy our museum exhibit and art gallery. Meet the filmakers from the documentary Crew 713.   At noon, we pause to honor our veterans and active duty military with the moving flag ceremony and flyover.  Then enjoy the $7 Hamburger lunch to benefit the Boy Scouts and museum.  Camp Howze MVPA will keep things lively with their exhibits and weapons demonstations.  Rest up a bit and return at 7 PM for the delicious homestyle dinner followed by dancing to the music from the incredible Sentimental Journey Orchestra at our Hangar Dinner & Dance.  Tickets for the dinner& dance are still just $30 and available through the website www.morganmilitaryaviationmuseum.com, at State Farm Insurance at 1206 S. Bridge St., or by calling 456-6726.

Please help us spread the word by forwarding this e-mail to your airplane loving friends and by liking us on Facebook and sharing our posts!  We look forward to seeing you in Brady, Texas for lots of PLANE FUN!
