EAA493 Mailing List: Zenith 601XL project for sale

Friends and Aviators,

Circumstances have convinced me that my aviation activities will be limited to 
those of a passenger, volunteer or spectator from now on. Consequently I am 
putting my Zenith 601XL project up for sale. 

The empennage and control surfaces are basically complete. The wings are 
structurally well along, but need the fuel lines, tanks, wiring and control 
systems installed. One wing tip also needs completion. The wings include the 
wing baggage locker and long-range fuel tank options. The upper skins have not 
been riveted down yet, but I will tack rivet them to  facilitate transporting. 
(Moving with clecoes in place could easily result in damage.)

The fuselage kit parts are included, but assembly has not been started. The 
upgrade kit to XL-B status is also included as are lights, strobes and assorted 
other options and parts. 

Asking $6000 for the whole package, as is, cash and carry. It’s located at 
Ducote Airpark.

I also have a Corvair engine core available.
