The meeting was called to order by President Tony Marcum at

6:59 p.m. April 19, 2016.

 

March 15, 2016 Minutes

The minutes of the March 15, 2016 meeting were unanimously

approved as previously published, with a motion made by Andy Spinks

and a second by Bob Heiser.

 

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Andy Spinks reported a balance of $851.49.

The treasurer’s report was unanimously approved, with a motion made by

Bob Heiser and seconded by Fred Jones.

 

Old Business

The Oshkosh memorial plaque for Johnny Williams was discussed. Don Smucker

will be in charge of getting information from Oshkosh and the Williams family, so

the chapter can proceed. The cost is $350.00.

 

New Business

Don Treadwell announced that EAA Chapter 493 member Steve Mida passed away.

Upon a motion by Don Treadwell and a second by Don Baker, the chapter will

donate $50.00 to “Colon Cancer Coalition”, in honor of Mr. Mida. Motion carried.

 

Our May 17th meeting will be held at Joe’s Italian Ristorante. The program will be

presented by Fil Filburn. (Satellite and the F15)

 

The June 21st meeting will be held at St. Paul Christian Church, 11 N. Park, San Angelo, Texas.

Andy Bush will be presented the “Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award”. The FAA

presents this award to Mechanics with fifty years or more experience in this field.

 

Thank you notes were received and read by Tony Marcun. Pierce Marschall, thanked the

chapter for the scholarship and the encouragement he received.

MARC thanked the chapter for the donation in memory of Steve McDuff.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by President Tony Marcum

at 7:30 p.m.
