MAY 15-16, 2015 BRADY, TX, CURTIS FIELD (BBD)
The Fly-In is turning 5! You are invited to the 5th Annual Armed Forces Weekend Celebration & Fly-In in Brady, TX. We look forward to honoring our VETERANS & ARMED FORCES and having lots of fun while we do it. We hope you will join us!
The Warbird lineup is growing! We are so excited that the C-47 Texas Zephyr (formerly known as Spirit of Hondo) has moved to Brady to keep the L-2 Lucky Duck company. We are looking forward to the groundbreaking of a brand new hangar for them! Here are some of the other great birds who are planning to join us for the weekend. P-51 "Pecos Bill" giving rides to our WWII vets, BT-15 Little Noodle offering rides to benefit the CAF, PT-19, and a PT-17 that trained pilots at Curtis Field during WWII. Stay tuned for updates as the list grows. If you have a warbird you would like to bring, please let us know and tell your friends. As our dear friend Jack Threadgill used to say - "You can't have too many airplanes!"
The Camp Howze Military Vehicle Preservation Association plans to invade Curtis Field and set up camp! They will be providing weapon and vehicle demonstrations. These guys are as real as it gets. Join us and them for Friday Night at the Square and relive a Friday night in Brady from 1942 to get a head start on the fun.
On Saturday night, the best swing band in the nation, Sentimental Journey Orchestra, will entertain in the big hangar at Curtis Field with dinner served at 7, then the dance at 8. Start planning your best 40's look for the most fun or come casual. Just be there!
More details to come! Please like Morgan Military Aviation Museum on Facebook to stay updated. We are currently working on getting our webpage updated. www.morganmilitaryaviationmuseum.com. E-mail for info at mpostoak [at] hotmail.com or call 325.456.6726.
