Old Kingsbury Airdrome is trying to start reconstruction of a WWI hangar from Ft. Sam Houston. The hangar was first built in 1916. I was at a Pioneer Flight Museum/Old Kingsbury Fly In this summer and saw the metal joists stacked and ready to be reassembled. These people could really use our help, and the minimum donation appears to be $10. If you want your name on a plaque in the museum you can donate $100. Here is an email from Carl Canga: Hi Don I hope I can revisit with you and the gang early next year when I have some progress to show., But in the meantime, if anyone is interested in our kickstarter campaign to raise a new hanger, it's all detailed in our kickstarter page. http://kck.st/1oOl6hR so far so good. we're almost there. c From: pilot.dt [at] gmail.com Subject: Re: confirm EAA 493 Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2014 14:48:18 -0400 To: cangac [at] hotmail.com Hi Carl, That is correct. We meet slightly before 6 to order from the menu, then we start the meeting at 7. After a very short business meeting we will turn the program over to you.
