Haven't heard from anyone but Tom and LeRoy.  Sounds like our EAA friends dodged the bullet.  I well remember the sick feeling I had when I saw what the mini tornado did to my hanger and plane in Eldorado (1997).

Hello Joe,

We received a call at home after the storm that said our doors had blown in on top of the plane.  When we got out to the hangar, the door on the left side actually rolled outward from the top.  It was still attached to the other door by the lock and attached to the hangar by the homemade angle iron locking pin.  Since the right door was also pulled out away from the hangar, nothing hit the plane!  For some reason, I had chocked the plane after the last flight and it did not move during the ordeal.

If you ever have a door come off, call Don Treadwell.  He has the door on the floor thing down to a science.   Don and his helper (me) had both doors on their tracks in about four hours the next day.

All in all, it could not have turned out any better.

LeRoy Anderson
