EAA493 Mailing List: Fort Davis fly-in

At the meeting tonight we discussed having a fly-in to Fort Davis on June 7.  We plan on flying to Alpine on Saturday morning, June 7, where we would pick up rental vans and drive to Fort Davis.  It doesn’t appear that Marfa has any vans available for rent, thus the choice of Alpine.  We would shop, visit and tour the Fort Davis area during the day, and go to the McDonald observatory for their star party Saturday evening.  We would return to San Angelo on Sunday morning, June 8.

 

Fort Davis has several nicely restored hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts, motels, etc., and each person would be responsible for making their own room reservations.   Each person would be also be responsible for making reservations for the star party.
