Hi Folks,
Looks like a lot of our Alamo Family is having health problems and worst. Prayers to
all, for those we've lost and those with health problems.
As many of you know Ed was having problems with his shoulder the whole time we
were there during our winter stay. He hurt his shoulder, which housed a reverse
shoulder joint. Emergency room Dr.'s (?) said joint looked fine. Surgeon we were
able to get with, 2 weeks later, also said joint looked Ok. If the ligaments were torn,
they could take those out of leg and/or back, to attach. Wouldn't be much difference
in his mobility or he could exercise it himself. Might do as much good. So we came
to Texas and Eddie exercised his arm. Wasn't getting any better. So we made an
appt. with the Dr. who did my shoulder joint last summer. He immediately saw the
problem, broken reverse shoulder joint. First week in April surgery was done, it was
more complicated than just replacing a joint. Anyway, he got an infection and back
to hospital for high powered anti-biotics by IV. We're back home now, we'll see how
things go. It was getting better when he was dismissed. Like they say this getting
old isn't for sissies.
Hope those that are doing well continue so and the rest of us get better!
God bless you all, Linda and Ed
