Good Morning to All Our WARM WEATHER Friends,

I hope this finds everyone in good health.

Just keeling everyone up-todate in the North Country.
Yesterday when I left Hayward in the afternoon, the temp was 50+ degrees and there wasn’t any snow on the ground. It was completely brown, but we had a little rain in the morning.  This morning it is really WINTER-R-R-R-R-R ??  We had a little rain that changed over to snow last night, made a couple inches so everything is completely white.  That is OK, but we have a 20 mph wind gusts from the West that is drifting the snow off of the lake.  The temp is 18 and dropping.  SO, it went from a nice fall day to winter is a few hours.  The drifting is not bad here, but out in the open it is really tough and the roads are in bad condition.  There are at least 15-20 schools closed or delayed in the area.  Most of them seem to be a little to the east.  OH Yes!  it is supposed to drop into the single digits or even below zero in a couple days.  Time Will Tell!  Except to feed the livestock (deer), the birds, and get the mail, I think I will stay inside.  The long-johns and heavy coats are standared. Well that is the big news from the cold country.
Enjoy the HEAT down there,
Quentin
