Boy are we getting hammered up here in East Ontario with rain and flooding. Our place is on the Ottawa River which is the border between Ontario and Quebec This river is the major water source to St Lawrence River other than the Great Lakes .In
any event we have had a large runoff from the snow melt in the north and we have had two weeks of rain that filled all the reservoirs north of us so the river has overflowed ,the worst in 45 years.
We are ok yet but thousands of people downstream have been affected. Most of them had flooded roads, streets anf basements. What a mess. In any event i thought i would send a few pics of our place. Faye and I have had about six yards of sand brought
in last Tuesday and we filled over three hundred sandbags so far.We feel very fortunate to have help from Fays brother Karl and some other family and my buddy Dennis who some of you know from bowling at the park .
I was talking with the mayor of our small Township today and he tells me that they have distributed many thousand sandbags so far. They just brought in another 10,000 today.to
Would it ever be nice to send some of this rain to Florida where thry have drought and wildfires.
Hope all of you are good and enjoying your time at home.
Regards Mike and Faye
